London Fashion Week presents Mishus

Mishu Shrestha, the first Nepalese fashion designer to show at London Fashion Week, hails all the way from Kathmandu. Her brand Mishus has emerged in the last couple of years with a desire to celebrate the beauty of life and humanity through her clothes. As the country of origin would suggest, the textiles Cashmere and Nepalese silk are part of the imprint of the collection and the central to the designer’s values.

Preserving cultural heritage through textile craftsmanship and maintaining sustainable methods of production are what drive the brand Mishus forward. Through the collection, the designer has one wish in mind - to introduce Himalayan Chic to the international fashion community. Mishu has shown her work at Cannes Film Festival in 2018 as part of a show 'Seven Continents of Fashion' and has since been invited back for 2023. Her gowns have been worn by celebrities at Cannes Film Festival and the current face of her brand is well known model Hương Ly (Vietnamese model and Miss Universe Vietnam contestant).

The SS23 runway show took place at the Hilton Waldorf on the strand on Friday 16th September. With absolute respect for her late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and to commemorate her life, the show took place in silence. Bright colours, feminine shapes and casual chic design with a touch of sparkle were on the agenda during the show. Swarovski crystals interwoven into silks and cashmeres handcrafted in Nepal - there are some of the touches of glamour that designer Mishu Shrestha injects into her garments. The collection will undoubtedly be a huge success internationally and we wish Mishu all the best.

Mishu's collection will be available to shop very soon via the website and through commercial distribution in the UK.
